1. Introduction

Welcome to MetaCoun.com, the digital financial services platform operated by Meta Cooperation Company (MCC) PLC (“MCC”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our websites, mobile applications, digital wallet, virtual card services, merchant tools, and all related online services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using MetaCoun.com or any MCC digital service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use our Services.


2. About MCC and MetaCoun

MetaCoun.com is a digital wallet and payment service platform operated by MCC PLC.
MCC PLC is not a bank.
Certain payment, processing, and card-related services may be provided in partnership with licensed financial institutions and telecom operators.

By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • MetaCoun provides digital wallet and transaction services, not banking services

  • Virtual card issuance, payments, and settlements may be facilitated through third-party licensed providers

  • MCC PLC does not hold a banking license and does not provide deposit-taking or lending unless explicitly permitted by law


3. Eligibility

To use the Services, you must:

  1. Be at least 18 years old

  2. Have full legal capacity to enter into a contract

  3. Register with accurate and complete information

  4. Not be prohibited from using digital financial services under your local laws

By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and truthful.


4. Registration and Account Security

When creating a MetaCoun account, you must:

  • Provide accurate personal information

  • Keep your login credentials secure

  • Notify MCC immediately of unauthorized access

  • Not share your password or PIN with anyone

  • Not impersonate another person or entity

You are responsible for all actions performed under your account unless you have notified MCC of unauthorized usage.


5. Digital Wallet Services

MetaCoun provides a digital wallet to:

  • Store value

  • Send and receive payments

  • Pay merchants

  • Receive transfers

  • Fund your wallet using approved methods (e.g., MoMo, bank transfer, card)

5.1 Wallet Funding and Withdrawals

Funding and withdrawal options depend on:

  • Telecom operators

  • Banking partners

  • Applicable regional regulations

MCC reserves the right to:

  • Set transaction limits

  • Request identity verification

  • Delay or block suspicious transactions

  • Charge reasonable fees for services


6. Virtual Card Services

MetaCoun may offer virtual Visa/Mastercard or equivalent digital cards through licensed partners.
By using the virtual card:

  • You must comply with the issuer’s terms

  • You authorize MetaCoun and partners to process card transactions

  • Fees, limits, and usage rules apply

  • MCC may suspend card access for fraud, non-compliance, or regulatory reasons

MCC is not the card issuer and is not responsible for decisions or actions taken by the issuing partner.


7. Merchant Services

Merchants using MetaCoun services must:

  • Register with accurate business information

  • Comply with applicable tax and legal requirements

  • Not use MetaCoun to sell illegal, harmful, or prohibited goods

  • Not engage in pyramid schemes, gambling, or fraudulent activities

MCC may suspend or terminate merchant accounts that violate these Terms.


8. Prohibited Activities

You may not use MetaCoun for:

  • Fraud, money laundering, terrorism financing

  • Identity theft

  • Illegal or prohibited transactions

  • Abuse of promotions or bonuses

  • Interference with platform security

  • Reverse engineering or unauthorized scraping

  • Posting harmful, threatening, or defamatory content

  • Any activity that violates Cameroonian or international law

Violation may result in:

  • Account suspension

  • Transaction reversal

  • Reporting to authorities

  • Permanent ban


9. Fees and Charges

MCC may charge fees for:

  • Wallet transactions

  • Withdrawals

  • Merchant services

  • Virtual card issuance

  • Chargebacks

  • Account maintenance

All fees will be disclosed through the platform or official MCC communication channels.
By using the Services, you agree to all applicable fees.


10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of MetaCoun is governed by the Privacy Policy, which describes how MCC collects, stores, and protects your personal information.

By using our Services, you consent to data collection as described in the Privacy Policy.


11. Intellectual Property

All content on MetaCoun.com, including:

  • Logos

  • Text

  • Software

  • Images

  • Videos

  • Designs

  • Databases

is the exclusive property of MCC PLC or its licensors.

You may not:

  • Copy

  • Modify

  • Reverse engineer

  • Distribute

  • Reproduce

  • Use MCC trademarks without written permission


12. Service Availability

MetaCoun Services are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.

We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted access

  • Error-free performance

  • Timely updates

  • Absolute security

  • Compatibility with all devices

MCC may suspend or modify services for:

  • Maintenance

  • System upgrades

  • Security concerns

  • Regulatory requirements


13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • MCC PLC is not liable for losses resulting from:

    • User error

    • Forgotten passwords or PINs

    • Unauthorized access caused by user negligence

    • Third-party service interruptions

    • Network or telecom failures

    • Delayed transactions

    • Force majeure events

  • MCC does not guarantee recovery of funds lost due to:

    • Fraud

    • Phishing

    • Scams

    • Chargeback abuse

    • User mistakes

Your use of MetaCoun is entirely at your own risk.


14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MCC PLC, its directors, officers, employees, and partners from any claims or damages resulting from:

  • Your misuse of the Services

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Fraudulent or illegal activity

  • Breach of applicable laws


15. Termination of Services

MCC may suspend or close your account if:

  • You violate these Terms

  • You engage in fraudulent activity

  • You provide false information

  • Required by law or regulators

  • Your account remains inactive for an extended period

You may close your account at any time by contacting MCC support.


16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of:

  • Cameroon

  • Applicable OHADA regulations

Any disputes shall be resolved in competent courts within Cameroon, unless otherwise required by law.


17. Changes to These Terms

MCC may update these Terms from time to time.

When updated:

  • The “Last Updated” date will change

  • The new version becomes effective upon posting

  • Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms
